How it works
Answers to the most frequent questions. Missing one? Write to me.
› How do I save a page in one click?
Right-click the page then "Add to Tablier", or the Ctrl+Shift+S shortcut. The link lands in the Pocket, the capture board of your active space. You can also make any board a capture board (pocket icon in its header).
› What is the Pocket?
Every space has a capture board: everything you add to Tablier (right-click, shortcut, panel button) lands there. Then file the links wherever you want by dragging them.
› How do I capture a whole window?
The board's "Save window" button creates a new board with all your open tabs, then offers to close those tabs. Nothing is lost, everything is filed.
› Where is my data stored?
In Chrome's local storage, on your device. Nothing goes to a server, there is no account. For maximum protection, enable the folder backup in Settings, Data: a copy is written there automatically and survives even an uninstall.
› How do I import my existing bookmarks?
Export your bookmarks from Chrome, Firefox or Safari (HTML format), then Settings, Data, "Import bookmarks (HTML)". Folders become spaces and boards. Re-importing the same file never creates duplicates.
› What if I switch computers?
Export to JSON (or grab the file from the backup folder), then import it on the other machine. You can also keep the backup folder inside a synced folder (Drive, Dropbox…) to have it everywhere.
› I deleted something by mistake!
Everything goes through the trash, recoverable for 30 days (boards and links alike). Every deletion also shows an "Undo" button right away.
› Tablier detects duplicates, what does that mean?
The same link saved several times. Settings, Data, "Review": you see every copy with its location, keep the one you want, or ignore the group if it is intentional.
› Keyboard shortcuts don't work?
They are managed by Chrome: chrome://extensions/shortcuts (direct link in Settings, Keyboard shortcuts). If another extension conflicts, that is where it gets resolved.
› Why does Tablier replace my new tab page?
So your boards are right there whenever you open a tab. If you prefer the sidebar alone, open it with Ctrl+Shift+Space or by clicking the icon.
